Introducing the New Dex

Today, we're launching the new Dex. A self-driving workspace for operators. Powered by a knowledge base for agents. For the last several months, ten thousand of you have been using Dex inside your browser, and you've felt what it means when AI finally has context. You could say less. Be ambiguous. And Dex just knew. That feeling is what we've been chasing. But we're far from the finish line.

AI is a brilliant amnesiac.

For AI to truly work on your behalf, for the real, messy, ad-hoc work of running a business, it needs near-perfect context. Always. Think about something as simple as responding to an important email. To do it well, an agent needs to know who this person is, where the relationship stands, what you said last time, what you're trying to accomplish, and how you like to communicate. None of that lives in the email thread. It's scattered across your calendar, your CRM, your Slack, your notes, your history. And a good chunk of it — the human judgment, your instincts — isn't recorded anywhere at all. Dex is that context layer underneath your work. It captures your working reality across every surface, and structures it into intuition agents can use.

How it works.

One brain. One context. Every surface. Operational context graph — Every message, meeting, deal update, and task from all your sources, structured into entities, relationships, timelines, and dependencies. Personal knowledge base — Your notes, processes, and memories, maintained in a personal file system you can edit directly. Save an email template once, a procedure from Slack, a quick thought — it becomes knowledge for your agent. Together they give every agent you run — inside Dex or outside it — a true understanding of your work. Every interaction makes the next one sharper.

What's changing.

The interface is expanding. Dex started in the browser. Now it runs across Slack, iMessage, and desktop coming soon. Same intelligence, every surface. Background agents run 24/7 — syncing your graph, finding emerging patterns, maintaining your knowledge base while you focus on something else. Dex notices things you can't, because you're inside them. Your context follows you everywhere. Next week, we're shipping MCP and SDK access — so you can bring your live, structured intelligence into any agent, tool, or workflow. Dex is the foundation for the next generation of personal software. The value in your data compounds back to you. It builds into an asset that belongs to you — structured, maintained, and ready for any agent to act on.

The bigger picture.

How much of your working life disappears into the gap? It's not just tabs and threads lost into the abyss. It's the follow-up that never happened. The insight you almost had but couldn't remember. The same problem multiplied across every relationship, every deal, every decision you've made. Your agents can now hold all of it. They surface the connections you'd never notice on your own. They don't forget. They don't lose the thread. They improve continuously. No longer limited by your own attention, your own memory, your own capacity to run things in parallel. The context you've been generating every day — it was always yours. Now it works for you. Nothing resets. Everything compounds.
